S & S Systems Consultants, Inc. was founded in 1990 in St. Louis, MO by Andrew Sobey Jr., CDP. Andrew had previously worked for a Fortune 50 company in information technology where he advanced through the ranks from programmer to analyst to consultant and finally manager. He developed skills on the mainframe, the mid-range, and the PC. He received training in many different aspects of manufacturing systems from a company that won the Malcolm Baldrige Award for Total Quality. But when the plant he was working at closed, he started his own business in order to provide information technology services directly to customers.
